Raised in the Northeast corner of Oregon in the sparsely populated town of Wallowa, Brady Goss has been honing his craft since the age of four when he would reach high above his head to put his tiny fingers on the keys of his Dad’s piano. He absorbed his father’s passion for piano music, especially that of rock n’ roll icon Jerry Lee Lewis. Brady talks about his musical journey, how he prepares for shows and the complexity of live music. We go deep into his musical philosophy and we talk about what it takes to be a performing musician. Oh yeah, and he plays some keys to give us just a taste of what he can do.
Tony Tate, also known as Big Blind on social media, shares his journey with keratoconus, a condition that led to significant vision loss and multiple cornea transplants. None of the transplants were fully successful, and recently Big Blind had to completely lose his eye. He discusses the challenges of navigating life with blindness, the importance of mental health, and the resources available for those experiencing similar struggles. The conversation emphasizes the need for community support, advocacy, and the role of social media in connecting individuals with disabilities.
